ResearchToReps participates in affiliate programs with various fitness apps, equipment manufacturers, and service providers. When you click certain links on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

How this affects our content:

• Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings scores or editorial conclusions.
• Products without affiliate programs are evaluated equally and may rank #1 if deserving.
• We disclose affiliate links with clear labeling. Look for "affiliate link" notices near purchase buttons.

Where affiliate links appear:

• Rankings tables ("Where to buy" links)
• Individual product review pages
• Dedicated "Where to buy" sections

Where affiliate links do NOT appear:

• Claim pages (we link to studies, not products)
• Methodology and policy pages
• Educational content not specifically about products

ResearchToReps is published by the same team that builds Apex Training, a strength training app. This is our most significant potential conflict of interest.

How we manage this conflict:

• Editorial independence: Research conclusions are never modified to favor the app. If evidence contradicts an app feature, we publish it.
• Transparent app rankings: When Apex Training appears in rankings, it is evaluated using the same methodology as competitors.
• Separate concerns: The research team can publish findings that create work for the app team. That's by design.

Why we do this: ResearchToReps exists to build trust with the fitness community. If we compromise that trust for short-term app promotion, we lose the entire point.

We may accept sponsorships for specific educational content. When we do, we follow strict guidelines:

• Clear labeling: All sponsored content is marked with a prominent "Sponsored" label.
• No editorial control: Sponsors do not review, approve, or influence content before publication.
• Excluded from rankings: Sponsored content is never included in our ranking tables.

Current sponsorships: None at this time.

Our authors and contributors may have relationships with companies in the fitness industry. We require disclosure of:

• Employment or consulting relationships with fitness companies
• Ownership stakes or equity in relevant companies
• Speaking fees or honoraria from industry sources

Authors with conflicts of interest are not assigned to review products or topics where they have a financial stake.
